This guide was made specifically for Leica programs and microscopes. The microscope we used to create this how-to guide is the Leica M205 C, consisting of z-stacking capabilities and a motorized column for effortless imaging.

The Illumination Tab

Within the Illumination Tab, two sliders control the intensity of light from the SLI Light (Gooseneck lights) and the HDI Light (main light). For the differences between the two light sources, refer to Section 1.

While the microscope has buttons that can control the intensity of light, users can also utilize the Illumination tab, which allows them to manipulate digitally the intensity of light from each source.
